Facilitation & Community Arts

Lewis has a number of on-going facilitation projects with arts organisations. They also run workshops as an independent facilitator in reimagining masculinities, accessing playfulness, building a cabaret act, adapting text with young people, autobiographical performance making, and technology in performance. Please enquire if you would like Lewis to run a workshop with your group/organisation.

Facilitation Experience:
Session Facilitator at Safegrounds, January 2022 - Present
Working with young offenders and prisoners using creativity and drama to discuss masculinity and family.

Session Facilitator at Brighter Together, September 2021- Present
Working on intergenerational arts projects across South West London, linking care home residents and nursery school children through a programme of multi-arts.

Assistant Youth Theatre Director at Group 64 Putney Arts Theatre, September 2021- Present
Teaching eight classes a week in the youth theatre programme, from ages 4-18 as well as supporting with the design and operation of education projects in local schools that use drama to explore climate change, mental health, literacy in Shakespeare, and more. ​

  • 'From Man Up To Drag Up' - using cabaret and drag to reimagine masculinity (Beyond Equality, Nov 2021)  
  • 'Fierce by The Fire' - an introduction to cabaret (ran for Goldsmiths Drama Society 2021)
  • A New World (Dis)Order' - playing with notions of masculinity and how cabaret practice can be used to unpack these ideas. (Ran for Goldsmiths Students Union 2021, and Centre for Queer Histories 2021)

wipe your feet theatre, Jan 2021- Present 
  • 'Autobiography' - examining how to use autobiography in your writing. (ran for Goldsmiths Drama Society 2021, De:Construct Conference 2021, and Creative Studios 2021)
  • 'Break The Box' - looking at physical and vocal gesture to explore new approached to text. (ran for Act II Drama Festival)

Drama & Dance Workshop Leader for Stepping Stones International, Mar 2020-
Working with disabled adults to support creative choreography and devising work within the community.


Creative Learning/Community Engagement Intern at Park Theatre, Aug 2020-Nov 2020
Organising the theatre's community engagement groups, working across care homes, schools, and youth theatres. Main focus was office hours as well as supporting the running of our drama and music sessions for people with dementia.


Deputy Youth Leader at Disability Challengers, Dec 2018-Sept 2019
Providing play and leisure activities for disabled young people aged 12-19. Primary activities included organising events/activities, ensuring safety, pushing for education through the arts, and facilitation of creative activities. 

Director & Founder of The Arcade Youth Theatre, Sept 2015-July 2018
Running weekly workshops with young people aged 8-18. We reimagined classic children's stories for a modern audience.


Lewis was also a private tutor for students aged 8-16 with a focus on encouraging confidence and a love of learning. Subjects included: English, Drama to GCSE and Maths, French to KS3. (October 2019-October 2021)
