Hey there! I'm Lewis and I am a multidisciplinary artist-facilitator who aims to develop new ways of thinking about cabaret practice.
I explore how cabaret processes can be used in new settings, such as participatory/community arts, education and arts based therapies. Much of my practice and research focuses around ideas of identity, gender, belonging, and agency. I graduated with a First Class Honours from BA (Hons) Performance, Politics & Society at Goldsmiths, University of London in 2021 and I am now the Associate Artist for 2021/22.
My background is in facilitating arts with disabled young people. I have ran my own youth theatre and worked as an arts coordinator/facilitator for many organisations, such as Stepping Stones International and Disability Challengers. I am also an experienced arts administrator and producer, having established my own monthly cabaret event, co-founded a theatre company, and was an arts administrator at Park Theatre and Goldsmiths.
I am fully DBS checked and have a full clean Drivers License. I hope you enjoy looking at my work and I would love to hear from you.
